Rani’s Story
Rani, a 12-year-old girl from a tribal family in Fatikchhara, West Tripura, had never been to school. Her parents, daily wage labourers, could not afford books or uniforms.
Jatiya Sevashram Foundation identified Rani during a village education survey and admitted her into our sponsored education program. We provided free uniforms, books, school fees, and daily tuition support.
Today, Rani is a bright student in Class 8 and stood first in her class last year. She dreams of becoming a teacher so she can educate other girls in her village.

Sanjay’s Story
Sanjay, a 28-year-old daily labourer and father of two, was deeply trapped in alcohol addiction. His family was on the verge of breaking apart.
Our team counselled him and enrolled him in our De-addiction Awareness & Rehabilitation Program. Through regular counselling sessions, medical support, and family involvement, Sanjay fought his addiction.
Today, Sanjay is completely sober for the last 14 months. He has started a small vegetable business and is now a proud supporter of our anti-addiction campaigns.

Laxmi’s Family Story
Laxmi, a widow living in a remote hamlet, used to suffer from repeated infections due to open defecation in her area.
Our team conducted a sanitation drive under Swachh Bharat Abhiyan and constructed a toilet for her family with support from government schemes. We also ran hygiene awareness sessions for the entire village.
Impact: In the last 18 months, cases of water-borne diseases in the village have dropped by more than 70%. Laxmi’s children now attend school regularly without falling ill.

Sita’s Story
Sita, a 32-year-old mother from an OBC family, was struggling to feed her three children after her husband passed away.
We enrolled her in our Women Skill Development Program where she learned tailoring and fabric painting. After completion, we helped her get a sewing machine through a government scheme.
Today, Sita runs a small tailoring unit from her home and earns ₹12,000–15,000 per month. She has also trained 12 other women in her village.

Rahul’s Family Story
Rahul’s family was unaware of the benefits they were eligible for under PM Awas Yojana, Ayushman Bharat, and scholarships for their children.
Our field team helped them complete all documentation and successfully linked them with 6 different government schemes.
Result: The family received a pucca house, health insurance coverage for ₹5 lakh, and education scholarships for both children.

Jatiya Sevashram Foundation is a registered Section 8 non-profit company dedicated to promoting social unity, equality and welfare among the weaker sections of society (SC/ST/OBC, minorities and the needy) through education, healthcare, sanitation (Swachh Bharat), de-addiction programs, cultural development and effective implementation of government social welfare schemes.
